thursdayitis - a thankful heart

Well it's Thursday, but it feels like Tuesday, but I wish it was Saturday.....I'm still trying to get used to being back in NZ and work myself back into a 'normal' sleep pattern.

It's amazing how quickly the days turn into weeks, into months and before I know it I'll be 75 and having zimmerframe races down the corridors of a resthome with my mates.

I've had reason to stop and pause, and thank God for the simple gift of another day. A student at University died suddenly during a lecture on Tuesday and all attempts to revive him failed. He was only 21. I can't begin to understand why it happened and dont want to cheapen the tragedy by attempting to offer "God has a greater plan" as an explaination.

So today I thank God for today and the promise of an eternity with him. Please pray for the family of this young man and his many friends and those who were in the lecture. You could imagine it would be a really traumatic experience for them all.

the least used blog for sure

Well I'm just writing my second ever blog, only 6 months after the first one. How sad is that! Its been a very busy few months since the last one. The hairdresser did come round, I did get my hair cut, and have still been procrastinating ever since.

Ive just arrived back from Australia where I was at ACC 05 (aggressive christianity conference) and boy, was it challenging. It was a conference run by The Salvation Army and this years theme was "REFORM" Some top international speakers challenged our hearts, spirits and minds.

Im going to hope to blog a bit more over the coming days as I begin to process some of what I've heard.

Unti then,
